After the successful
2009 Cold Chain Logistics Education Program with over 150 participants
from 24 countries, we are preparing ourselves for the 13th annual
edition. The 2010 theme:
“Tomorrow´s answers today;
strengthen
your business model by managing operational costs more effectively”
Clients are extremely demanding
nowadays and claim 100% performance at rock bottom rates. GCCA is
offering many strategic and operational tools and the aim is to
continuously focus on assisting warehouse and logistics management
in improving their operations and reducing costs. The format
of this conference with information, networking, best practice and
benchmarking is the best guarantee that participants can take
many good ideas home to be used in their daily operation.
On top of many plenary sessions and the European Warehouse Council
meeting, an exclusive platform where GCCA/ECSLA executives discuss
business trends and industry developments by country, we have created
5 additional focus sessions to exchange ideas and information among
international colleagues and ……. with the leading suppliers
to our industries.
The focus sessions are titled: Operation & Technology -
Refrigeration & Energy Efficiency - EU Government Affairs
& Lobbying - Human Resource & Workers Safety – Reducing
Operational Costs
Already for a while, talks are going on about a closer cooperation
between the European Division of Global Cold Chain Alliance (GCCA)
and the European Cold Storage and Logistics Association( ECSLA)
which may result in a one European industry association. Hopefully
we can celebrate the inauguration of New ECSLA which will bring
even more professional warehouse and logistics operators to Amsterdam
for this 2-day conference and networking program.
This event is unique because it is the only truly international
meeting place in Europe for the temperature-controlled food logistics
industries like public and private cold stores, processors, transportation
and distribution businesses and their product suppliers.
We have added subjects and speakers, however the basis for the conference
program remains unchanged: more than 30 excellent speakers, informative
trade show, networking lunch, reception, pleasant dinner in a great
atmosphere, free breakfast buffets, comradeship among peers, fun
with friends and …… our focus on improving operations and reducing
costs.
Conference rates will remain unchanged. For GCCA/ECSLA members Euro
898 all in for the full 2-days conference program. The 2nd
and 3rd member company participants will receive a special
discount and pay just Euro 673 for 2 days.
