    Project Description

    This USDA grant was awarded to the U.S. Meat Export Federation and the U.S. Poultry and Egg Export Council and was implemented by the WFLO.

    An initial assessment of the integrated distribution chain for perishable foods was conducted in December of 2004, followed by the planning and launch of a two-day workshop and international conference in June of 2005. Workshop participants were exposed to a host of international experts who discussed the importance of an integrated cold chain and tips for enhancing perishable food distribution in the greater Beijing area.
